The biggest challenges in this type of competition come from many factors such as tactical communication, rhythm distribution, smooth rotation, wind resistance, and physical limits. Famous team time trials include the World Championships, Tour de France, Vuelta a España and Giro d'Italia and other world-class important tour races. This Tour of Po, as an important stop in the UCI event system, also has a single-station team time trial.

The team time trial is the ultimate expression of team art in cycling.
