Among them, mountain bikes are suitable for a variety of complex road conditions, with greater overall strength and strong impact resistance; road bikes are designed with more consideration for speed, often using down-curved handlebars to reduce wind resistance and narrow high-pressure, low-resistance tires. The weight of the body is lighter and the riding efficiency is very high; while lithium-ion electric bikes are equipped with an electric power-assist system, which is more suitable for urban commuting and focuses on commuting practicality.

Xue Jiachen further analyzed the subcategories of road vehicles and the selection of models to meet the needs of different groups of people. The competition vehicle used by the Phoenix Phoenix-SCOM-Hengxiang Intercontinental Team uses a UCI-certified carbon fiber frame, which greatly reduces the weight of the vehicle and makes climbing and accelerating more effortless. At the same time, the body design incorporates aerodynamic principles to effectively reduce air resistance. The integrated head tube and fully internal routing design reduce the windward area, smooth the airflow and reduce rear spoiler. In addition, carbon fiber can absorb road bumps and vibrations, and the optimized frame structure can further improve riding smoothness and comfort.

Talking about the upcoming 2025 Tour of Shanghai Xincheng, coach Li Fuyu extended the popularization of the event and team system of the Union Internationale Internationale (UCI) road race - UCI events are mainly divided into World Tour, professional series, and intercontinental races. Men's professional road racing teams are also mainly divided into three levels: WorldTour teams, intercontinental professional teams, and intercontinental teams. Due to the excellent reputation of the Tour of Shanghai Xincheng held for the first time last year, this year it has been successfully upgraded to a UCI Continental 2.2 level event . This is also the first men's road cycling event in Shanghai to join the UCI Asian Tour , marking the official entry of the event to the international stage.

In order to prepare for this event, Coach Li analyzed the key and difficult sections of the track based on the track route, and shared the team's preparations and strategies with the media.

According to the schedule, the 2025 Tour of Shanghai·New Town Cycling Race will once again connect the five new cities of Jiading, Songjiang, Qingpu, Fengxian and Nanhui . Among them, the Jiading stage on September 5 is 95.3 kilometers long, the Songjiang-Qingpu stage on September 6 is 94.8 kilometers long, and the Fengxian-Nanhui stage on September 7 is 94.5 kilometers long. The track passes through multiple landmarks in each new city and will comprehensively present the urban scenery and new development of Shanghai's five new cities.

The level of this year's event has been upgraded, and the lineup of participating teams is also star-studded. Strong teams gather together, and 20 top professional teams from around the world will make a collective appearance.

It is worth mentioning that in addition to high-level professional team competition , the event also provides more opportunities for mass participation for cycling enthusiasts. For the first time, all five new cities will set up amateur events, including individual time trials, men's and women's elite events and other diverse event types.
