Event background

1

Event memories of Chagan Lake: from local stage to national circuit

The relationship between Chagan Lake and cycling events can be traced back to the 2010 National Road Cycling Championship, when Qianguo County successfully hosted the national event for the first time. The scale of the event was further expanded the following year, and an amateur league with a scale of 500 people was held simultaneously, creating an integrated model of "professional competition + public participation".

The multiple charms of the Holy Lake: a natural epic that goes beyond the track

Genetic treasure trove of natural ecology

As the largest inland lake in Jilin Province, Chagan Lake (" Chagan Nur " in Mongolian, meaning white holy lake ) has a water area of 420 square kilometers, nourishing 68 species of fish from 15 families, with an annual output of over 5,000 tons of fresh fish. Its core product "Fat Head Fish" has obtained AA-level green food certification and has become a golden sign of ecological quality. The lake area is home to 239 species of birds, including 9 species of national first-level protected animals such as red-crowned cranes and oriental white storks, making it a "bird paradise".

A living museum of history and culture

• Thousands of years of fishing and hunting heritage : Since the Liao Dynasty, emperors of all dynasties have held the "Spring Bowl" ceremony here, creating the tradition of "Feast of the First Fish" and "Feast of the First Goose". Today, the Winter Fishing Lake Net Waking Ceremony was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.

• Multi-ethnic civilization blending : The lakeside ancient Liao and Jin city Tahu City, the Qing Dynasty Xiaozhuang ancestral mausoleum Manchu Mongolian stele, Tibetan Buddhist Miaoyin Temple and other relics bear witness to the collision of grassland civilization and Central Plains culture.

The ancient fishing and hunting tradition of the Liao and Jin spring alms bowl ceremony, the legendary carrier of worship at the Holy Lake of Genghis Khan, and the historical silhouette of the Manchu and Mongolian stele in the Xiaozhuang ancestral mausoleum, together depict the openness and heritage of the Liao and Jin culture.

The wheel turns the past and future of Chagan Lake

When professional drivers sprint at the Aobao traffic light intersection, their figures will overlap in time and space with the spring hunting horses of the Liao Dynasty emperors and the winter fishermen's sledges. The competition on August 17 was not only a contest of speed, but also a movable feast that traveled through thousands of years of grassland civilization.
