Tour the Great Beauty Qinghai STAGE 4 | Phoenix Phoenix-SCOM-Hengxiang Intercontinental Team

On July 9, the Menyuan-Qilian stage of the fourth stage of the 2025 "Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Cup" 24th Tour of America Qinghai International Road Cycling Race ended.

The Phoenix Phoenix-SCOM-Hengxiang Intercontinental Team competed fiercely for four consecutive days. Our 19-year-old youngster Xie Daochao in 2006 temporarily ranked first among the Chinese drivers in the competition. I look forward to the next four stages, especially the hill climb stages, being able to withstand the pressure.

Cyrus Monk, as the team's breakthrough player, attempted to break through twice during the 172.5-kilometer race. Shortly after the main car group fired, Cyrus joined a three-person breakout group, but failed to get far; after the breakout driver was chased back by the large group, Cyrus tried again on the downhill 10 kilometers from the finish line.

Xie Daochao is a Chinese driver who will join the Phoenix Phoenix-SCOM-Hengxiang Intercontinental Team in the 2025 season. This season, the team competed in many events such as the 2025 China Road Cycling Professional League Hangzhou Dajingshan Station, the 2025 China Road Cycling Professional League Tianjin Tuanbohu Station, and the 2025 Yellow River Estuary (Dongying) International Road Cycling Race, cultivating good team survivability and race awareness.

Xie Daochao has won the second place in the U23 men's group of the 2025 Asian Mountain Bike Championships, the third place in the men's mountain bike cross-country competition at the First National Student (Youth) Games in 2023, the men's open group mountain cross-country championship in the 2024 China Mountain Bike Open (Changzhou Hengshanqiao Station), and the third place in the men's open group in the 2025 China Mountain Bike League (Yunnan Mangshi Station).

Stage 5 Qilian-Gangcha (July 10)

The fifth stage is 168.7 kilometers long, with 3 climbing points and 1 sprint point on the way. When riders go out, they will face the highly difficult climb of Dadongshu Mountain, with an average slope of 4.5% in a 20.9-kilometer length and an altitude of 3839 meters at the Pass of Dadongshu Mountain. After the climb, there is a long undulating downhill section. After two sections of climb, it is downhill to reach the end of Gangcha.
