The first stage starts at 7:30 am on June 14th. The stage slowly unfolds along the north bank of the Yellow River, with a total length of 138.7km and a flat road throughout. The riders started three laps of 28.5km at 26.6km, and launched a fierce group sprint at the end.

There are two sprint points on the way after entering the circle in this stage, which are located at the same positions in the first lap (43.1km) and the third lap (100.1km).

At the beginning of the race, Maris took the lead in attacking. After maintaining a lead of more than ten kilometers, his teammate Cyrus followed closely and launched multiple rounds of attacks to test the competitive status of other drivers.

The situation in the race was changing rapidly. Three kilometers away from the first sprint point, Roy, who originally planned to grab the second, accidentally let go of two rabbits and ended up in third place, so he felt a little regretful.

In the middle of the race, the first group had a maximum of 17 people, including Cyrus, Sasha and Ziga from Hengxiang Racing Team. After several pulls, the first group was recovered by the relentless pursuit group. As the temperature increased, the pace of the game began to become increasingly anxious. Then, a breakout group of 6 people split up, which once reduced the second difference to 45 seconds, and continued to advance until the last few kilometers, until all the breakout riders were recovered by the large group. In the process, Cyrus successfully grabbed the seconds reduction reward for the second sprint point.

Sasha

Until 1 kilometer before the finish line, each team seized the position and pulled up the sprint train, and the pace of the large group quickly soared to 60km/h. At this time, the Hengxiang team was led by Sasha, followed by Roy. Nearing the finish line, Sasha decisively gave up her sprinting space, and Roy exploded instantly, winning the third place in the stage.

In this stage, the Hengxiang team adopted an "offensive and defensive" tactic, and all members actively strived for the initiative on the field, breaking other teams' intentions to control the game. In the absence of intercom equipment, the team members relied on their experience on the field and accurate judgment to adapt to changes, and achieved tacit and perfect cooperation. With the joint efforts of all members, we stood on the podium again.

It is worth mentioning that although the local youngster Xie Daochao participated in the UCI international competition for the first time, he actively participated in the teamwork and contributed many remarkable performances.

Team manager Li Fuyu said: "I am very pleased with the performance of the local youngster Xie Daochao. In the future, we will still focus on encouragement. But for young drivers, especially when language is difficult to communicate, they need to learn too much from foreign players, not only the judgment and grasp of timing, but also much content to learn, and more experience on the international competition stage."
